LINAKE'S BLEACH AVATARS

First and foremost, thanks so much to everyone who stopped by the table to say hi!!!

And thanks too, to any new DevWatchers that visited my page here from meeting me at the con!

And it was SO AWESOME seeing old friends again! ^______^
(LOVE YA, TESS!!!!

And we missed you, ~
LionReine!!!

)
Thursday--</u>
Thursday was pretty uneventful, mostly. ^^

&

met up with me at my apartment, we watched a little TV (some doomsday-apocalypse-show I had been watching), made fun of the stuff in my kitchen (basically nothing but drinks, candy, and some junk food), and started on the way to Atlanta. We met up with the other half of our group while making a pit-stop at a Wal-Mart in South Carolina.
After we got there and checked in to the hotel & con, we dragged most of our stuff to the Alley table and headed back to the hotel for the night.

Everyone seemed to enjoy playing with my head-screw cosplay prop. XD
(We did a "Soul Eater" cosplay-- Ramia was Maka and I was Stein

)
Friday--</u>
Friday, we all woke up and those of us who were cosplaying started dressing up. ^^ Though, I think the only two of us who actually cosplayed were me & Ramia.

I also, personally, think she enjoyed suffocating me with my temporary-hair-color spray. *lol*
(Holy LORD, you can NOT breathe while putting on that stuff!! O______o )Anyway, after a quick run by the table, our main priority of the day was annoying Vic as soon as possible.

We grabbed the bobbleheads for him (Put them both in only one box, thank God. XD) and our stuff that we wanted him to sign, and headed for the line! ^^ We had a little time to kill, so we milled around the Dealer's Room once it opened for a bit. Soon, we started toward Vic's line and got there WAY early, so we were only about a dozen people from the front.

After he got there, his girlfriend sat at another table, and as we walked by, she warned Ramia that he'd probably shriek his "MAKAAAAAAAAA~!!!!" line when he saw her. XD She also tried to identify who I was cosplaying as (She got the series right, just couldn't think of Stein's name. ^^)
...
Like she predicted, he
did shriek the "Maka" line.

...
He wasn't nearly as enthused about seeing a Stein behind her.
('Least not until he saw the bobble box. X3)As soon as he opened the box, he saw the
Ed bobblehead, and then he had to dig a little to find the Spirit one.

What really made my day was the HUGE hug he gave me (*lol*), but even moreso what he told me-- He said that he has an entire room in his house for fan-made gifts. Then he said that, instead of that, he also has another room that has some of his favorite treasures, among which are a model of the Enterprise and William Shatner's autograph, and
that's the room where he displays all of the little bobbleheads that I've made for him.

I....eh.....I didn't know what to say to that...

That's may very well be the biggest compliment I've ever gotten on my work!
After that, though, he complimented my Stein cosplay, and offered to sign something for me
(and me being the then-shocked dumbass I was, I completely forgot about autographs until he asked *lolmoron*), so I asked him to sign the Tamaki "Ouran" DVD cover, and a poster of Ed fighting Roy:
[link][link](WARNING: My apologies in advance to any Roy Mustang fans in the audience. XD Vic got....heh...artistic....)After recovering from the fangirly hysteria, we explored the Dealer's Room even more, then returned to the Alley, and Rikki & Tavisha Simons were at their table! (Rikki voiced GIR in "Invader Zim", and
Tavi has an awesome webcomic series about their two crazy cats. XD They both have an Alley table every year), so I asked her to sign my
"Reality Check!" comic book (Rikki'd signed it last year), and asked Rikki to sign a
Zim DVD cover.
Saturday--</u>
Woke up, did our cosplay preparations again, and headed to the con. Dull morning.

;;;; *lol*
The main incident during Saturday was that I suddenly noticed that a clear case of mine was missing, which had some important stuff in it.

I PANICKED.
The majority of the stuff in it was pretty much unimportant doodles and sketches, but what concerned me the most was that it had the ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHED ARTWORK for my
Espada picture (which I was hoping to get Laura Bailey to sign during the weekend, since she voices Halibel), and a one-of-a-kind
Lina Inverse cel (which I wanted Lisa Ortiz to sign).
Also included were some DVD covers and such, which I ALSO wanted to get autographed.

Since my case and all this were gone, it meant that I had nothing to get signed for the remainder of the con. Even Ramia was missing a "Soul Eater" poster that she was wanting to get several autographs on.
(Luckily, for whatever reason, I'd taken my Vic, Rikki, & Tavi autographed stuff OUT of the case the night before and had packed them away safely back in the hotel room)
Anyhow, I went by the con's Lost-&-Found, but came up empty-handed. Even into the evening, I was pretty depressed about my missing stuff, and Ramia cheered me up a bit by getting a little Grim-Reaper plushie for me from another table in the Alley.

^^
(Currently, he seems to be good buddies with my Szayel plushie, which scares me a little. oO)After we called it a night, we decided to explore the nearby mall....while still wearing our cosplays. :3
I bought some adorable earrings.

Very appropriate for my Stein cosplay. They were little bolts. XD
Sunday--Sunday was a bit frantic, what with last-minute packing and such.

We finally got our stuff to the car, ran up and down the stairs umpteen times, and eventually got back to the con. XD
The people in the table next to our's said that they'd gotten some info on the possible whereabouts on my missing case-- They said that they'd heard that someone had bumped into an artist, swiped their badge, and gone around the Alley during the artist setup time and stolen several things. My case & Ramia's poster might've been among the things that were stolen.
We didn't stay at the table for very long, since we wanted to do final runs on the rest of the Alley, as well as the Dealer's Room, plus we were wanting to catch Laura Bailey & Travis Willingham's final autograph session.
....
Unfortunately, due to a combination of slow hotel elevators and me having to make another [sadly-unproductive] run by the Lost-&-Found again, we got to the autograph session AFTER they'd already cut the line off.

Luckily, though, Laura & Travis hadn't actually
gotten to the table yet, and --thanks entirely to Ramia's Maka cosplay-- we were able to flag them down nearby.

They were in a bit of a rush, though, so we just said hi to them, handed them the bobblehead boxes, got some hugs, and they opened them later at the table.
We ran around the Dealer's Room while they did their autographs, and then returned to catch them again after they'd finished, so we could see them again and to see what they thought about the bobbles. ^_^
Laura seemed ecstatic, hugged us again, and said she was gonna display the little Maka in their apartment. ^^ A couple minutes later, as we were leaving, Travis came
running up behind us, said thanks, and gave us all more hugs.
Between their reactions and Vic's, I was starting to feel more cheered-up about the missing artwork.

After that, we completed our Dealer's Room run, and as we were finishing up, we walked by Yaya Han's booth, and got a quick photo of her(

). When we saw her, she was in her
Carmilla costume from "Vampire Hunter D", which was SERIOUSLY impressive.

(At her booth, I couldn't help myself. Ramia talked me into getting a little pair of grey plastic/resin kitty ears --actually for ball-jointed dolls-- for my Uki plushie.

He looks ADORABLE in them!!!

)
Eventually, we ran out of things to do at the con, really, so we headed back to the hotel to leave.
On the way home, we intended to stop at our usual "Crack-Burger" (a McDonald's somewhere near Gaffney, SC), but my
genius GPS system took us to an 84 Lumber instead.
.....

.....
We kinda took an "Aw, SCREW IT." approach, and instead found ourselves going to a Red Robin instead. :9
Finally got back to my apartment, and it's been a long time since I'd enjoyed taking a shower in my own bathroom and sleeping in my own bed again
that much.
Monday--Slept through both classes. Didn't wake up until 5:30....IN THE AFTERNOON.

Dammit, Uki. o______@
