As per the vast majority of my fanart, here's Mako-kun from "YuGiOh"!! :giggle: With-....with-.....dare I say it?... HIS HAIR DOWN!!!!! :excited:

It wasn't until I did this pic that I realized how much I've improved in Photoshop over the past 2 years!! *coughegocough* For example, compared to Sobek ( [link] ), which I did about a year ago! I used a lot of the techniques & tricks that I learned when I did "Gift of the Nile" ( [link] ), and I think this one even rivals IT in coloring!! :wow: Yeah, I know, ego's getting out of control, I'll shut up now... ^^;


FULL VIEW!!! You can see all the purty rain detailing that way... :3 And the nice purply edge along his back, hair & face on the right side is from the lightning, by the way.

*gasp!!* it's BEAUTIFUL!!! *mutterit'ssomuchbetterthanmehcrappydood leofhim*dies*mutter* (( ^_^; )) because you encourage advance-ness, his left (right to us) arm looks a bit...off..but I love the purple 'glow' on his back and face..it really makes the lightning seem bright and scary. *yanks mako off the image, and give him to you covered in a blanket* now he shall never have to be fearless again!! ^_^; err...*shifty eyes* I hope? lol ( rabid fangirls!! )

:glomp: Hehe, but think of HOW LONG I worked on this 'un!! ^^ (Ah, Southern-ness... *content sigh*) I worked on him...uh...probably off-and-on for about 3 weeks, and that's just the coloring!! XD As a matter of fact, your so-called "crappy doodle" (which I disagree, I thought it was so kawaii I saved it & printed it off! I'm gonna put da print in my "fanart from other people" notebook! :D ) actually inspired me to do a fanart of Mako & the little "Duelist Kingdom squid"!! (my 100th DA fanart!! Coming soon! :giggle: )
Glad ya like the lightning...um...light... ( :O_o: ), that's one of my favorite parts too!! :D I added that kind of at the last minute... ^^; I almost forgot his scars too (?!?!), added them at tle last minute too! ^^; (There's one PURTY full-page insert pic in...it's either manga 20 or 21, when he duels Jou at Battle City, where it's apparently in the near future and he has MANY more scars than just that little on on his cheek! *YUMMY!!!!*)
Hehe, I noticed that about his arm when I started coloring it! ^^; I usually draw on a notebook sitting on my lap, so it's like I'm drawing at an angle where I can't see things like that, at least not until I see 'em scanned in on the computer, where they're smaller & on a front-on view... *sweatdrop*
