I actually started this one about the same time as last year's "Sogyo no Kotowari" pic of Ukitake, but I had so many things come up that I never got to finish Renji until now. ^^;


It's been AGES since I worked on a relatively-major CG project! ^____^ I've really missed it!!!


I did take some artistic liberty on this one, moreso than I usually do--
I wanted to make the "snake" skull look more authentic and realistic, so I referenced some rattlesnake skulls online. ^^ I did my best to merge the rattlesnake skull shapes --especially the lower jaw-- to those of the anime version's design. :D



Anyhow, this is one of my most proud CGs yet! ^_____^ Like Ukitake, it was a fun challenge and I really enjoyed working on it!

For those of you coming to Animazement and/or AWA this year, I'll either have posters of this one available for sale on-the-spot or available for orders. :)
(and lots love to Wally for signing one for me! :glomp: YOU ROCK!!....I framed it and it's hanging on my bedroom wall. :3)
