Before anyone asks, the title is based off that made-for-TV-movie "Peter Benchley's 'The Beast'" (it was a movie based of a novel by P. Benchley). The movie was about a giant squid that was ravaging this little fishing-based town in the Northeastern US... great movie, really... :D

*ahem* Anywho, special thankies to , da über-kawaii piccy she did for me ( [link] ) which reminded me that I was gonna do one from this scene too!! *multiple :hug: s* I really think they shoulda done more with this scene in the show though... ><*

Also, unlike most of my Mako pics, I tried to do this one in the style of the show (Thank God for settei, eh? :D I figured out that I dun like drawing the show's style much, I prefer my own style, he looks more.... bishie... ^^; I also did his hair in the "show-accurate" shades of blackish-blue instead of my normal purple. Meh. Me likey the purple better... :nod: ) I also did this one with a "cel-style" shading technique, which I've only done once before (that pic's coming up next! :D), and I took one of my rare attempts at doing backgrounds... :no:

Gotta love those 2 nimrods in the back, though, huh? ^^ Can't tell it in the JPG version, but that pink thing on Tristan's/Honda's bib is a little pink piggy... ^^;

Hehe, thanks! :D This is actually only the 2nd time I've tried "cel-style" coloring, and I kind of like using that technique! ^^

^^ Hehe, I'm pretty sure he'll win this one! (Though Honda & Jou might lose their dinner in the process, after he gets ticked off at it & flings it over the cliff again... :laughing: )

Hehe, thanks! That's only the second time I've done cel-style coloring, it was pretty nice to get some practice with it! :D
