My BEST...CG...EVER.
(also my first completed CG of 2006! :w00t: )

Okay. *cough* Serious time begiiiiiiins......now. ^^;
Those of you who're familiar with my artwork know how obsessed I am with this guy (*SHUDDUP DAS!*) and I'm not saying who, since I can think of a few of my Devwatchers who haven't seen this far into the series and I don't wanna wreck it for them as to who that is...
Anyhow, this pic was just eating at me to sketch last summer....Yes, folks, LAST SUMMER. I've been working on this thing for about 6 months... *ehehe*

This pic is based on a scene from ep 34, and honestly...That ep made me cry. It really did. And NOTHING makes me cry. "Titanic" didn't make me cry. (Of course, most of that was because I did --and still do-- think Leo is the biggest weenie in the country, but... :shrug: Whatever.)

Anyhow, I did base the BG on a screencap, and I know my BGs are horrible (gimme a break, I'm a foreground artist!! Years of fancels have shaped my artwork into being more character-based than BGs of landscapes and such. M'yep.)
Likewise, to help myself improve, I'm going to periodically work on a massive CG project, like this one and my "Gift of the Nile" pic! (Go see that one, folks. I did that one over a year and a half ago and it's so horrible compared to this one that it makes me laugh.... ^^; Still, I made a huge jump in my Photoshop quality after that one, so it was worth it! :D)

And if you're wondering how much time and effort I put into this one, it was WELL over 50 hours! And detail, you may ask? The "Ultimate Shield", there, has cuticles on his claws.... :XD:


Sorry 'bout the ugly watermark, too, but I worked my butt off on this one, and I don't want anyone to swipe my pic... -.-

Wow, this looks amazing! The fight between those two was awesome, and your rendition of it is really neat. I love the poses and the color is excellent like always. Great work! :clap: Can't wait to see more Linake-sama. :nod:

You finished it! :clap: It looked amazing before, too. Now it's absolutely stunning! ^^ The shading on everything, the lighting of the room, and the flippin stars and bushes ourside are just too perfect. :3

That episode made me cry aswell, as so did when Kimbley dies! *cries again*
I beleive that, that episode was the true fall for any Greed fangirl! ( Even tho I think his Manga death is more noble ^^ ), however this peice is simply beuatiful!! Deffinate :+favlove:, all those months you spent working on it, were really worth it!! :D

A beautiful rendition of the final battle between the two. Greed looks magnificent, each line's blood red contrasts brilliantly with the grey-black of the strongest shield. His nose is very realistic, trait that has elluded Greed in most other forms and the sheer number of pictures and scenes i've viewed for AMVs, episodes, and Immortal Thoughts make it clear to me, yet it's still great looking and it'ds probably nothing to the casual observer.The background looks fine, Dante's mansion (or is it, i bet she weaseled it out of one of her lovers*hint hint* XD) glows the same eeriy blue that it did on the namesake evening. The weak point of the picture for me is Ed's expression. Ed is another great character who is amply represented in pose and detail, however that expression is just a little over the top. This is the best representation of episode 34's incredible climax that i've ever seen and having waited a long time for this picture i can hapily say that i was not disappointed. You know how much i love Greed and your art, this is some of the best of either that DA has to offer.
