LINAKE'S BLEACH AVATARS

Okay, I can't remember every little thing that I WANTED to include in this Journal, plus I have a horrendous migraine-like headache from the
coma that I went into last night
(not really a coma, but I slept hard enough that I didn't hear my alarm this morning and ended up sleeping about 15 hours. XD), but I'll do my best...

(Oh, and I'll upload Bobblehead photos soon!!!)
THURSDAYWoke up and had to run to Office Depot/Max (forget which one, but it's near my apartment XD) to get a printer cartridge because mine
crapped out with 2 prints left to make. ><; I also had no hairspray, and I can't do Greed's cosplay with NO hairspray. XD; Especially given how much in-need I am for a haircut.
Anyway, got that, and got back to the apartment with lunch. Ate about half when my doorbell started frantically ringing. Turns out that

,

, & Gabby were here about a half hour early. XD;;;; (GOOD GOD, GABBY, HOW FAST DID YOU DRIVE?!)
We got all the stuff in the "little Kia that could", as Gabby calls it, finally chased everyone OFF MY COUCH AGAIN, and hit the road. After a half dozen bathroom breaks for Dee (kidding, Dee, just kidding!), we stopped at a gas station in near the SC/GA border and got gas. We immediately noticed that there was an
apocalyptic SWARM of grasshoppers ALL OVER the pumps. o_____o;
[link][link]After leaving, we noticed that we had a stowaway-- one of the grasshoppers was hanging on the back window, while we were doing about 70 mph down the interstate!
[link]...
We named him Gojyo. :3
He hung on for about 50+ miles and 2 little rainstorms! We finally stopped at another gas station and got him off the window. We kept him in a little plastic container with some muffin crumbs, which he
really seemed to love. XD
After much yelling at each other over which way to go, we finally made it to the Sheraton hotel across the street from the convention center. XD We got all of our stuff up to the room and decided to go to the con to get our badges and drop some of our stuff off at the artist table. On our way, we made a new friend-- a guy named Tyler, who I'd met at AWA two years earlier. ^^ The first time I'd met him, he was cosplaying as bankai-Ikkaku, but during
most times I'd seen him before, he'd carried a gigantic Appa (from "Avatar") on his head.

Pretty easy to spot at a con. XD
Anyway, we finally got our badges, dropped off some of the table stuff, and started back to the hotel only to find that it was POURING rain outside.
It felt like a very LOOOONNNNNNG walk. *lol* I had to hang my jeans up in the closet to dry.
FRIDAYThe morning started with Dee & Julia wanting to get a photo of "Greed" in "his" silky PJ shorts eating a Cheerios cereal bar.
[link]...
...yeah. =w=;;;
Anyway, we headed over to the con after getting ready (I was Greed of course, ~
Phoenix-of-the-Rose was Lust, ~
illyria47 was Sloth, and Gabby was Tsunade from "Naruto") and stayed at the artist table mostly all day.

We took a short break to go buy some pins from *
zelas, and I sold a few prints myself! Julia was selling handmade substitute Shinigami badges, and sold 6 over the weekend, plus gave one to Vic.

Speaking of which, Mr. Fanboy himself even came by our table on Friday!

Before one of his panels/autograph sessions, he was wandering around the Artist Alley room. ^^ He walked by, we flagged him down, and he had a royal FIT when he saw the little Dark and Fai bobbles I had out on the table. X3 He got this sobbing kind of look on his face and told me that he hated me. XD I sat there looking confused at him, and Julia told him, "Why do you hate her, they're for you!", and he got HYSTERICAL. ^____^;; He gave me a big hug and said he thought I just had them sitting out to tease him.

After
that, he said that he was on his way to his first panel, and that he was going to show them off!!

Later, someone came by the table and said that he really did! XD They said that he'd taken the Dark one and held it up to a video camera that was recording the panel so that it'd be projected on a screen and the whole room could see it.

I LOVE YOU, VIC.

Really.
Eventually, we went back to the hotel, did our showers, and watched some cheesy horror movies on Showtime. I forget the first one, but the second was the remake of "Halloween".
SATURDAYWe got up and headed to the con, only to find that it was raining again. My friends mock me for being a "weather geek", but
GUESS WHO WAS THE ONLY ONE OF US WITH THE FORESIGHT TO BRING AN UMBRELLA.

GYAHAHAHA. X3
We got to the con, sat at the table a while, then got up a couple hours later to wander around the Alley and check out the Dealer's Room.

We'd been told on Friday (by the ONLY male Envy cosplayer I've ever met, and with a REAL TATTOO of the Oroboros, no less!

) about an FMA cosplay photo shoot at 6, so we headed out to it about 5:30. On the way out, we saw Tyler again --cosplaying as the "Boulder" from Avatar-- fighting a Toph:
[link]...and I also decided to stop by Rikki Simons (artist, also did the voice of GIR in "Invader Zim") artist table, and he signed a copy of one of his comics for me. :3
[link]At the photo shoot, there ended up being a whopping NINE (1 Ed, 1 Al, 1 Winry, 1 Scar, 2 Lusts, 1 Envy, 1 Greed, and 1 Sloth) cosplayers there, but there was still such a good variety of characters that we still got some good shots. ^_^
Die, State Alchemist!!Beg for mercy!Friends for lifeFamily PortraitYou want your brother back...?RivalsWe would've gotten some more shots, but it started drizzling rain...

Afterwards, we went back to the table, where I finally got to pull off my "Ultimate Shield" arm. I gave Julia and Dee permission to help peel it off, ONLY if they stayed above my wrist. (It tends to rip out a lot more hair on the forearm itself, and I wanted to handle that myself.)
[link]....XD
We eventually went back to the hotel room, got showers, and watched the 2 new dub episodes of Bleach (and lol-ed at Renji and his cute little kido "lightbulb").
SUNDAYAfter taking our luggage out to Gabby's car, we released our little mascot (Gojyo, the grasshopper) in a nice garden patch on the way to the con.

I only spent about an hour or so at the Artist table today, because I was DETERMINED to get over to Troy Baker's autograph session.
After I'd left, and been in his line for about a half hour, Julia called and said that Caitlin Glass had stopped by the table.

About 15 minutes later, she called again and said VIC HAD JUST STOPPED BY.
....
I was standing in Troy's line, repeatedly saying, "
I hate my life, I hate my life..." while Deanna was laughing at me.
During the time that we were in Troy's line, Vic's line had already gotten cut off. .____.;;;; Well, at least I got to meet Troy, who I'd never met before!

And I'm not sure, but I think he seemed to like his little Abel Nightroad bobblehead.....

[link]

(If you listen carefully, after he says "He's a bobblehead!!", you can hear the next 20 or so people in the line laughing. XD And Dee totally hated me because I got a hug from him.
)...and then he signed a little chibi-Archer for me. :3
[link]Gabby had gotten in Vic's line before it'd been cut, so I went and chatted with her a little after I met Troy. After that, I went back to the table for a bit longer, and then we packed up our Alley stuff, did a couple more last-minute laps around the Dealer's Room, and headed out a little before 5. On our way back, we got caught in a TORRENT of rain just outside of Atlanta for about the first half hour of the drive or so. X_x;; Poor Gabby --driving-- was about to snap.

On the way back, we were all either asleep or
very close to asleep.

We finally stopped for dinner at a McDonald's.
Last year, we'd stopped at this same McD's on the way back from AWA '08, and were so
insane afterwards that we were convinced they'd put some kind of drugs in the food or drinks. XD By some twisted miracle, we were able to find the
exact same McD's on the 200-something-mile drive.

....
This meal just reaffirmed our theory about the drugged food.
On our way out, we were all on the verge of tears from laughing, and we kept doing all sorts of stupid stuff on the way. XD We especially lost it when I started video-recording our conversations after getting back on the interstate. When my camera ran out of memory, Dee started recording. While trying to get her camera, she'd found that the takeout box of Chinese-restaurant chicken fried rice she'd had in her bag had spilled, and her bag was FULL of rice.

I thought I was going to DIE laughing.
...
and then there was another incident that involved a van with a DVD player playing a recording of a preacher and a book of borderline-shota yaoi...
MONDAYYup.
I was right.
I was expecting to fall into a total con-hangover COMA, and sure enough....

I got to sleep about 2 am last night. Woke up about 5 PM. \D Had a headache ever since....

Best of all, it was great to meet Troy, and great to see some of my old AWA friends again! ^^ It was awesome to hang out with

and her clan, and see

again!!
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
Until next time...
