How the BLOODY HELL DO YOU OPEN A @$*&! BOTTLE OF RAMUNE?!?!

To start things off, I'll mention the contest first. ^^
Okay! My beloved little parrotlet of 5 or 6 years passed away earlier this year (back in April), and I shall be hitting the pet store to get another one this week! The question is, what should I name him?
He's a small, male, lime-green bird with bright blue streaks going back from its eyes! (Do remember my obsessions with anime --FMA & Saiyuki are my 2 faves-- and Egyptian mythology!)
Whoever comes up with the idea that I like best will get....ehhhhh....a request for a CGed chibi request styled like these? How's that?


On to the CON!!!

Okay, I flew up to Connecticut last weekend for Connecticon, and to hang out with ~pegasusxcroquet and ~Julie-Destron (who I didn'a get to see...TT.TT)! ^_^ Aside from the con itself, we hung out at the mall (I bought nothing, but drooled over a weaponry shop *w*) and went to see "Pirates"!
(I'm feeling kinda lazy now, so I'll just give your the jist of the con)

FRIDAY: We got to the con, strolled around the Dealer's Room (and I scored the FMA DX figure I was missing from my collection! 8D I also bought a super-cute pin of chibi-Hakkai...that I left at Ashley-chan's house. x.x; ) I bought a bottle of Ramune soda and...well...I STILL haven't figured out how to open the freakin' thing. ><; It's still sitting in my luggage.
As I finally got frustrated with the Ramune and was popping the tab of a Coke instead, a girl came up to me and started complimenting me on my con bag! (It has 3 chibis on it-- Priss, Envy, & Greed. Every time I cosplay a character, I paint their chibi on it) She asked me if I'd bought it, and I told her that I'd made it and gave her one of my business cards. ^_^ I explained to her what the chibis meant, and told her to look out for me as Greed the next day! ^^ She said she was gonna be Envy...
Anyway, we got kind of antsy about seeing some of the people in costume and we ran back to the hotel and changed into ours! (I was Greed of course, she was Pride.) After whacking the doorframe with her sword, we went back to the con and... Gaara glomped me and two people called her "Hitler". >3
Later, while wandering around, we came across 2 girls and she invited them to dinner with us at a tavern about a block away (I, being the 'old fart' of the group, got us in the door with my over-21-ness. -.0; ) Some guy standing outside, as we were walking in, complimented my Greed pants.
(I also treated myself to a margarita. PxC took a miniscule sip of it and cringed. *lol*)

SATURDAY: I'd painted my arm Friday night so that it would be as dry and not-sticky as possible (didn't help much, by the way ><* My fingers kept sticking together all day, and I nearly forked myself in the side of my itching nose with a claw when I tried to scratch it ), so my costume didn't take long at all to put on! We ran off to the con, she dragged me to an UNGODLY-FREEZING Dolfie panel ( ) and we both enjoyed a full day of glomping and photos! XD
We both met up at the autograph session room to meet Chris Patton! However, we'd heard rumors that he's been bitten by a spider and had to cancel his panel on Friday. A con staff member came up to the small congregation outside the panel room door and told us that the rumors were right-- He'd apparently been bitten by a venomous spider and had just come out of a coma Friday morning! She said that the first thing he did when he woke up was get upset about missing the con! TT.TT (I was really ticked off at first, but then started really feeling sorry for the poor guy! Apparently, he's okay though, since he was speaking and well-conscious after the coma) They also said that he almost had to have his hand amputated. O.o;;;;;
I was really starting to mope around (though Ashley had a huge stroke of luck and won a $30 plushie for $3 in a raffle), but it really cheered me up when "Envy" (same one who loved my totebag) fussed at "Pride" for killing Dorochet in the manga.
Me: O.o ....Dorochet? You're a Dorochet fangirl? :3

I showed her a couple doodles of him that I'd done recently and gave her a rough sketch of him with a puppy on his shoulder! ^^ She loved it! (I'll post it here soon)
Eventually, we went back to the hotel room, and --per her mom's permission-- ordered ROOM SERVICE!!!! 8D She also got a nice laugh out of me peeling every hair off my arm when I pulled my "shield" off....><;
We went back to the con that night and mostly hung around the Artist Colony area! I commissioned a super-cute chibi of myself in cosplay (I got one of myself as Priss last summer at AMA and wanted a Greed one too. ^^ I didn't get to have one done as Envy though. v.v; ) She commissioned a yaoi pic from an artist while I bought a beautiful cobalt-blue glass with the FMA military logo on it! ^_^ We both made it to the 2wcOnline.net table where we met a lunatic artist by the name of Danny Valentini, who does the webcomic called Draconia! We talked with him for a couple hours (I haven't laughed that hard in FOREVER XD) and we each commissioned pics from him-- his very first yaoi commissions in ELEVEN YEARS! XD Ashley-chan wanted an explicit pic while I wanted a pic of Greed & Dorochet that was a little more "implied" and funnier... ^^ Go figure.

SUNDAY: We ran back up to the Artist Colony area to pick up our commissions --knowing good-and-well that they wouldn't be done yet-- and he was just finishing the rough sketch of mine. ^^ He inked it and handed it off to one of his colleagues for coloring named Jennifer Brown, who apparently did in-betweener work on the Disney movie "Brother Bear"! He ran off to get lunch while she colored my pic (he handed it to her so he could eat and then start on PxC's pic so we wouldn't be there all day waiting on them. ^^) We stood there for a good 4-ish hours chatting with these guys! XD ARTISTS ROCK!!!
Later that night, we went to see PotC 2, and...well...I nearly busted out my side laughing at Ashley's bad luck in the theatre bathroom. XD (First, she got a stall with no latch. Then the toilet-paper-dispenser cover fell off. Then she got a sink that didn't want to work. THEN she couldn't get the hand-blowdryer to work! I stumbled out the bathroom door lmao-ing and her mom thought I was crazy. XD)

She also got me an adorable little beta-fishy for my birthday! ^_^ It was fun sneaking him on the plane in a drink-cup! XD I dun think he cared too much for takeoff though...>.>;;
